Easy Homemade Peach Ice Cream

Oct 24, 2021

Peaches are in season during the summer months. Why not create a fresh, creamy, homemade treat to beat the heat?

Easy Homemade Peach Ice Cream

Prep Time 7 hours

Ingredients

  • 5-6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp, plus 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Method

  1. Place a metal mixing bowl in the freezer to chill for at least 1 hour
  2. Place peeled, sliced peaches into a separate bowl. Sprinkle peaches with 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, almond extract, and cinnamon. Stir to combine
  3. Place peach mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to allow peaches to "marinade" and release juices
  4. Pour heavy cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup of sugar into the chilled mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, whip on medium high until reaching a whipped cream consistency
  5. To the whipped cream mixture, blend in the fresh and sweetened condensed milks
  6. Remove peach mixture from the refrigerator and puree in a blender or food processor until desired consistency (smooth or slightly chunky)
  7. Stir the peach puree into the cream mixture until thoroughly combined
  8. Pour into a pan or bowl, freeze for at least 6 hours
  9. Scoop and enjoy!
