Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Butter
- 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- Zest of 2 Oranges
- 12 Sage Leaves Chiffonade
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat butter over medium heat for 5 minutes until it turns nut brown in color-remove from heat and cool slightly. In a mixer bowl combine butter and brown sugar, beat together until butter is no longer hot. Add eggs, vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, sage, and orange zest-mix thoroughly. Gradually add flour until incorporated. Scoop 1" balls of dough onto parchment lined sheet then chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Bake for 8-9minutes until light brown around edges. Let cool and dig in!
