Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves pressed
- 1/2 cup broth vegetable or chicken
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp fresh rosemary chopped
- 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until hot
- Add chopped onions and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until edges start to brown
- Add pressed garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly
- Add broth and cook for about 5 minutes, until the liquid is reduced by about half
- Add cream, chopped rosemary, and thyme. Stir to combine, cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly
- Add shredded Parmesan and stir until melted into the sauce
- Use sauce by mixing with pasta; pouring over steak, chicken or seafood; or over vegetables
