Basic Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed
  • 1/2 cup broth vegetable or chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat until hot

  2. Add chopped onions and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until edges start to brown

  3. Add pressed garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly

  4. Add broth and cook for about 5 minutes, until the liquid is reduced by about half

  5. Add cream, chopped rosemary, and thyme. Stir to combine, cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly

  6. Add shredded Parmesan and stir until melted into the sauce

  7. Use sauce by mixing with pasta; pouring over steak, chicken or seafood; or over vegetables
