We are happy to announce that Lauren Kemmer has joined the Dairy Council of Arizona® team as our new Manager of Sustainable Nutrition!
Lauren will be working with Arizona’s health professionals to provide science-based nutrition information related to dairy products as part of a healthy diet. In addition, she will be focusing on food insecurity relief initiatives and sharing the amazing work our dairy farmers are doing in producing quality milk while also protecting the planet with their sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices.
Lauren is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and completed both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences and her dietetic internship at the University of Arizona. Lauren joins us from the Madison School District in Phoenix where she created school meal menus featuring low-fat and fat-free dairy options, provided nutrition education in the classroom and via culinary events, and implemented farm-to-school initiatives with dairy calf visits, smoothie bike activities, and agriculture-related student projects. Lauren is also currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, kickboxing, and visiting theme parks.
