Learning the Value of Teamwork

Reporting From the Field

This summer, I was afforded the opportunity to attend the Fuel Up To Play 60 National Summit as a state ambassador. When I joined the program three years ago as a freshmen I had no idea of the adventure that was in store for me. Participating in the summit affirmed to me that I have the capability of being a great leader, and to be a great leader, you must learn to work as a team. Fuel Up to Play 60 has allowed me to collaborate with a diverse group of people from all over the nation. I have learned and continue to learn the value in having an open mind and diligent work ethic, along with shared responsibility and accountability. Prior to this experience I was a “do it all myself” kind of person, but I realized there is efficiency in working with others to obtain a goal. T.E.A.M = Together Everyone Achieves More.
