Slow Cooker Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Mulled with the warm spices of ground cinnamon and nutmeg, this easy red wine hot chocolate recipe is irresistibly decadent.

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 8 cups whole milk room temperature
  • 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 package 12 ounces dark chocolate chip or 1 scoop of cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 cinnamon sticks


  • Place all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover. *make sure the fresh milk is at room temp to avoid curdling)
  • Cook 60 to 70 minutes on HIGH or until chocolate is melted and mixture is heated through, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Serve and enjoy!
