Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Course Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Chile Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl beat together butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy, add eggs. On low speed gradually add flour mixture. In a small bowl combine remaining sugar, cinnamon, and chile powder. Form 1" balls of dough and roll in mixture. Bake for 10 minutes. Dig in!
