Combine rolled oats and fat-free, lactose-free milk in saucepan; simmer for 5 minutes or until oats have absorbed a majority of the milk. Oatmeal will yield 1 cup.
Let cool.
To make smoothie
In blender, combine 1 cup cooked oatmeal, half of a ripe banana, ¼ cup frozen (or fresstrawberries, ¾ cup Kefir, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
Serve immediately with fresh strawberry garnish (optional).
