Add a touch of sweet spice to your regular iced cold brew coffee. This recipe includes syrup that is infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and a touch of pepper that brings a nice touch of exotic flavor with every sip.

Vietnamese Spiced Iced Coffee

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 5 whole cardamom pods
  • 2 cups cold brew concentrate
  • 1 cup half & half
  1. To make the spiced syrup, add water, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, peppercorns, and cardamom pods to a saucepan over high heat

  2. Bring the mixture just to a boil, stir, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes

  3. Remove from heat, allow to cool, then strain the liquid from the spices into a container; discard the spices

  4. In a pitcher, pour coffee, half & half, and 1/2 cup of the syrup. Stir well to combine

  5. Pour spiced coffee mix into glasses filled with ice

  6. Sip and enjoy!
