French Bread Pizzas
Servings: 12 servings
- 6 crusty Italian rolls whole
- marinara or pizza sauce
- 2 lbs mozzarella cheese grated
- Parmesan cheese grated, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion sliced
- 1/2 lb pound sausage
- pepperoni slices
- Canadian bacon slices
- pineapple chunks
- Roma tomatoes sliced
- black olives slices
- optional ingredients shredded cheeses, bell pepper slices, jalapeno slices, diced red onion.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Slice rolls in half and lay them, cut side up, on a large baking sheet.
Top each half with a generous portion of either marinara or pesto, followed by a generous amount of grated mozzarella and Parmesan.
Add preferred toppings.
Place pan in the oven on the lowest rack for 8 to 10 minutes. Increase temperature of the oven to 425 and put tray on the highest rack until the cheese starts to bubble a bit and turn golden.
Remove and serve immediately.
